Please remember to have the inspector you choose ensure that they can crawl under your home to do a thorough termite & dry rot inspection before committing to paying them. Most lenders require that a thorough termite and dry rot inspection be done on a home which INCLUDES the inspector crawling under the home to check for dry rot, pests and leaks. Please also be advised that MOST inspectors are now requiring that you sign a contract with them that you fully understand what their limitations are regarding their inspections and are requiring that clients pay for the inspection AT THE TIME OF INSPECTION. Be prepared for both of these requirements.
